That famous inventor Sir Clive Sinclair - you know (The World's First Pocket Calculator, ZX Spectrum Computer, The C5)
Well the inventor has hit back with the touted A-Bike. A folding bicycle to compact that it can literally be carried under your arm or on a backpack on your back. So small that it can easily fit into the boot of the car and still get all of the luggage in to go on holidays.
The A-Bike folding bicycle is perhaps the answer to todays commute without the worry of it getting pinched outside while you are in the office. Simply fold the bike up and 'hey presto', just slip it under the desk in the office and no one will know that it's there. On the other hand, should somebody lose a paper clip and discover it under the desk they will probably want to have a go and start riding around the office and the photocopier.

Perfect as a commute bike or just to throw in the boot of a car and get out when you run out of petrol
Ideal for holidays because it takes up little space
Ok lets get to some of the specs and details:
Why is it so light?
The Frame Materials Heat treated aluminum and high strength glass fibre reinforced engineering polymer constitute the majority of the frame.
The Twin Chain The twin chain gearing system specifically uses small drive axles, often one of the heaviest parts of a traditional bicycle. Pedal cadence remains the same as a normal
The Wheels Each weighs only 350g and this includes the pneumatic tyres which give such a smooth and comfortable ride.
The Brakes Designed specifically for the A-bike, the semi circular band brakes fit the wheel perfectly providing a lightweight and robust alternative to traditional shoe brakes.
How does it fold? In under 10 seconds With a 3 click telescopic mechanism To a folded size just 67 x 30 x 16cm
Questions
[Q] Are there a Height and Weight Limits?
[A] Yes we recommend a minimum height of 4' 9" but the saddle height is easily adjustable to accomodate up to 6'3". We have set the maximum user weight to 85kgs/13st 5lbs to ensure optimum performance and routine safety, although the A-bike is fully tested to above this weight.
[Q] Can I ride the A-bike in the wet?
[A] Yes the A-bike performs like any other bike in wet conditons so braking distances will be increased and extra care should be taken. In fact because the A-bike is made from aluminium & glass fibre it will not rust making it more than capable of surviving a bit of water.
[Q] Can I take it on public transport?
[A] Yes - Whether on the bus, train or the Tube the A-bikes compact folded size means it's little different to taking a rucksack or a laptop with you. Therefore with the A-bike the rush hour restrictions on bicycles applied by many train operators are not relevant. In fact, the A-bike is so compact you can even take it on a plane as hand luggage!
[Q] Can I use it at night?
[A] Yes - the A-bike has a full reflector system but we recommend an additional lighting system and reflective clothing be used in accordance with the Road Safety laws.

Reviews "Will cut in half the time any walk takes" Pedestrians looking to cut the time it takes to walk to the station and at the other end of their trip, to the office, may well be tempted by the ultra light and compact design that lets the bike fold to the size of aircraft hand luggage in about 10 seconds...It will cut in half the time any walk takes, and with the chain and brake cables all enclosed within the frame, eliminate fears of getting grease on work clothes. (Guardian Unlimited)
Ok, nuff said, you're not going to win the 'Tour de France' with it and I wouldn't race against Chris Hoy on his racing bike or anything, but for a clever, useful, ultra compact bicycle that can be taken almost anywhere then this has to win hands down.
Sure to be a big hit this Christmas so get that order in quickly before we sell out at this fantastic price.
